ABOUT JOHN KING
John King has held leadership roles in public media, non-profit and government organizations. Currently he serves as the Director of Wellness and Health Promotion for Federal Occupational Health. Most recently he served as President and CEO of Koda Associates. Prior to that he was President and CEO of Vermont Public Television for 16 years, holding the same position for the Public Television Association of Quebec, based in Montreal, Canada. Over his nearly three decades in public broadcasting leadership, he has chaired the National Educational Telecommunications Association, the Organization of State Broadcasting Executives and the Public Broadcasting Management Association, as well as in advisory positions for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. As a member of the PBS Board of Directors, King brought his decades of experience to a number of committees on finance and corporate support, dues review and is a national leader in station services, efficiencies and policy review. King was inducted into the Vermont Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2011. A native Vermonter, King is active in community and business initiatives throughout New England. He was a member of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center Assembly of Overseers and serves on the Board of the McGill University International Executive Management Institute. King holds a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Johnson State College and an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Champlain College.
