About John Kidenda
John is the Research Lead for US East (PJM, NYISO, ISO-NE) at Aurora Energy Research, where he offers clients data-driven intelligence for strategy, portfolio management, and investment decisions in the global energy transformation. He is a seasoned professional with over ten years of experience in the energy, logistics, and consulting sectors. John was previously the Chief of Utility Operations at PowerGen Renewable Energy, where he oversaw the company\'s utility operations. He led several teams to develop software to monitor and control decentralized energy resources while using data-driven insights to ensure sector-leading customer support. He led the software platform upgrade to handle more than 15M transactions and $1M in revenue annually.Before PowerGen, John was a Senior Strategy Consultant in Dalberg’s Nairobi office. There, he worked in agriculture, access to finance, and energy, with a functional focus on value chain analysis, business strategy, and learning management.Before Dalberg, John worked as an Associate Director at the Austin, TX office of The Advisory Board Company (ABC), a management consulting firm focused on healthcare and higher education. While at ABC, John managed the deployment and maintenance of a physician performance management technology platform at 15 national hospital systems with over $2M in annual revenue. He also headed CSR at the company’s 400-person Austin office.John has a strong background in international development, policy analysis, business strategy, and stakeholder coordination. He holds a master\'s degree in Public Administration in International Development (MPA/ID) from Harvard University\'s Kennedy School of Government and a bachelor\'s degree in Finance and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
