About John Keller
I am a registered pharmacist with 17 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist, currently focused on managing diabetes with medication optimization and Continuous Glucose Monitors.I have supported clinical care programs working with physicians at NM in disease states including oral oncology, rheumatoid arthritis, allergy/pulmonology, osteoporosis, hepatitis C, solid organ transplant. I have assisted patients in gaining assistance to help pay for their specialty medications through channels such as patient assistance programs to medication access foundations.I enjoy educating patients and physicians about using their medications and disease treatment options. My goal is to find the balance between patient outcomes, profit-making for pharmacies, and savings for payers.I became a Certified Specialty Pharmacist in 2018. I have led our Cold Chain testing from its infancy to current state including the creation of a standardized pack-out program. I have assisted the pharmacy in gaining two accreditations including URAC and ACHC. I have written and updated procedures and policies related to these accreditation applications.I am the former chair of the Quality Committee, where I oversaw reviewing all quality-related items every month. I present marketing and pharmacy information to various prescriber groups within our health system both in person, and in video conferences.I am well versed in the Fed-Ex delivery services and have worked with improvements such as embedding email information on FedEx deliveries as well as automating the download of Proof of Delivery signatures. I have worked as a go-between between our technology department as well as some of the vendors that we have used.I have experience as a manager, performing medication therapy management (MTM) services, compounding, immunizations and specialty medications.I have to answer drug information questions, help to make recommendations for disease state management including diabetes, and I also make presentations to clinical staff regarding new medication guidelines etc.
