John “JD” Downing is the CEO at Kritikal Solutions LLC, with over 35 years of experience in the Power Generation industry. John is an expert in gas and steam turbine operations, digital controls, excitation, network OT and IT systems, and data encryption technology. He has been involved in projects and services at hundreds of power plants on five continents, delivering reliable and secure power to millions of customers.John started his career in the US Navy, managing and directing shipboard gas turbine power generation and propulsion systems for eight years. He then joined General Electric as an installation, commissioning and startup engineer for over 30 large frame gas turbines. In 2009, he co-founded and grew a successful power generation controls, electrical and instrumentation corporation. John is passionate about ensuring the safety and security of the American people and the power grid, and he is a recognized subject matter expert and thought leader in his field.Kritikal Solutions leverages cutting-edge data encryption technology to transform cybersecurity for critical infrastructure.
