Hello! I\'m John Julio Soto, a dedicated and compassionate pre-medical student and recent graduate of CUNY Lehman College. In my academic journey, I place a strong emphasis on excellence and continuous growth. I am driven to excel in my studies and gain comprehensive knowledge in the field of Biology and more broadly speaking, STEM. My father instilled in me the core belief that service to humanity is of paramount importance. This value has become the driving force for how to live my life and also behind my pursuit of a career in medicine. This belief has shaped the reasoning for my view of medicine as not just a profession; but as a calling to serve others selflessly. My mother instilled the tenets of Advocacy, which is another core value that holds immense significance in my life. In my experiences, I’ve found that raising awareness and speaking up for important causes can lead to positive change.
