ABOUT JOHN CONNOR

I have over 40 years of commercial experience with the last 15 years focusing on understanding, implementing and utilising agile principles and the scrum framework. Prior to that I was involved in the provision of Project / Programme Management and Business Consultancy across a number of Public and Private Business Sectors with particular emphasis on the Financial and Health Sectors. In that time I have developed core skills in agile, the Scrum Framework, Business Change / Transformation, IT / Management Consultancy, and Project / Programme Management Methodologies including: • Moving Organisations from a Waterfall to an agile approach and the day to day promotion of the agile principles utilising scrum, Kanban, Lean thinking etc. • Well rounded facilitation skills• Experience of large scale change programs covering business process re-engineering and data migration in a financial environment• Solid banking / finance experience including regulatory, corporate, wholesale and stock broking projects• Extensive team and 3rd party supplier management including departmental budget setting and management, staff selection, line management, mentoring, annual review and vendor selectionAs well as being a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) I have extensively utilised a number of Project Methodologies including Prince 2, DSDM, Prism, SSADM and Pathway (which I helped to design) across the full project lifecycle from Analysis/Design to Development to Testing / Implementation and Support / Business as Usual.Specialties: AgileScrumCoachingFinance SystemsBusiness ChangeBusiness Intelligence / MI reportingProject / Programme Management
