About John Gorry

An experienced infrastructure technology professional with over 20 years in the financial sector. I have worked on diverse projects across the technology stack, covering storage, compute, database and application development. My initial career focus has been on engineering database platforms and the enterprise storage solutions they run on. Current career focus is cloud architecture across all data, compute, storage and security services, as well as integration with networking etc. I am experienced with the architecture and design of systems to manage different types of data, both on-premise and cloud based, and have a keen interest in data science.Throughout my career I have sought to deliver innovative high performance solutions to complex data driven problems, being cognizant of risk and cost, whilst being sensitive to current standards and best practices.Currently working to deliver next generation cloud based strategy and architecture for Point72.
