ABOUT JOHN M.

I have always been driven by a simple question: how do we turn big ideas into software solutions that customers love? That curiosity took me from writing Java code (ok, I started with C and SmallTalk if you know what those are) to leading cloud transformations that cut costs and lifted competitiveness. Along the way I discovered that excellence happens when business objectives, healthy culture, and motivational metrics converge.Today, as VP of Product Engineering for a SaaS platform, I guide multiple pods that now release in one-tenth of their original cycle time. A Balanced Scorecard keeps quality, velocity, and customer impact visible every sprint, while providing engineers with short feedback loops. An AI-augmented SDLC removes toil and boosts reliability, quality and speed. My greatest career win is mentoring hundreds of engineers, forty percent women, because high-performing teams start with thriving people.Beyond the office I sponsor university & student projects, fund scholarships, and speak at conferences on the craft of building product-centric engineering high-performing cultures. Whether I am coaching new grads or briefing the executives, my goal stays the same: make technology serve people and profits in equal measure.Signature Talks• Average to elite: a roadmap for scaling engineering teams• How to motivate and engage your people with metrics• Cutting-edge SaaS architecture in plain language for product leaders• AI in the SDLC: practical wins you can deploy next sprint• Career ladders that elevate people and create clarityInterested in bringing these ideas to your audience?
