About John Hawkins
I am a recent graduate of the University of Chicago, with a double major in Economics and Philosophy. I gained strong analytical skills and experience in large-scale data management as an Urban Data research analyst. My tasks as an analyst required using Python, SQL, and R to manipulate historical census data and modern spatial data to redraw community lines in Chicago. This required the creation of ETL pipelines to organize data from many different sources into a single compatible format. Ultimately, my passion in life is for all things sports. My largest project in college was my senior thesis, through which I explored the psychology and philosophy of sports fandom and its unique role in human culture and consciousness. Additionally, as a co-founder of the Princeton Sports Book Club, I use young kids\' natural love for sports to inspire conversations on literature and culture.
