ABOUT JOHN FISCHER

With over 25 years of experience in manufacturing, I bring proven performance and results to any organization. I am motivated by solving problems and helping others, and I look forward to any opportunity or challenge.I believe that manufacturing in the United States is extremely competitive and we compete in a global market, it is for that reason I have taken positions which to grow my knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience. I feel that areas like IT, robotics/automation, lean processes, and training will be critical for the long-term success of any manufacturing organization in the United States.Unlike most others, I have sharpened my teeth in the trenches by doing. I spent my earlier years primarily on manual machines learning from older experienced machinist trained in the height of our trade. I sought out opportunities that stretched my knowledge and skills, learning CNC machining, CAD/CAM and more. As I continued to rise, I designed products and components, performed R&D work, testing, and more. I have supervised and managed shops and people from a few to over 100 direct reports and I was even the Operations Manager for a large maintenance activity of over 1,600 people.
