ABOUT JOHN FIDLER

John serves as Business Development Executive with CBIZ, a leading provider of audit, tax, advisory, technology, benefits and insurance services to companies across all industries. As part of this role, he’s responsible for co-leading the Mid-Atlantic Region’s life sciences practice as well as the Philadelphia office’s internal networking group, ‘1K1 Rainmakers’. He also leads the mentorship program for the national business development team.Prior to joining CBIZ, John led the Retained Search Practice at a prominent professional services firm where he focused on placing executive-level finance, information technology and human resources professionals for companies in a wide variety of industries. He previously served as a core member of the Financial Officers Practice at a major global search firm where he worked with a number of mid-market, private equity-backed and Fortune clients.Earlier in his career, John was a Partner at a boutique retained search firm where he focused on client service, business development and growth of the firm, and led the successful placement of executives for companies in the Delaware Valley and surrounding area.John began his career overseeing the sales & marketing function for a wholly-owned subsidiary of Random House, the publishing giant. He spent time living and working overseas helping to build the company’s offshore operation. During this time, he recruited and built the company’s new sales force.John has presented to a number of outplacement and industry associations, and has published several articles on topics related to human capital. He is deeply entrenched in the Philadelphia business community and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Walnut Street Theatre. John is well-traveled having taken multiple trips to places such as Dubai, Japan, Europe and the Philippines. He is a former professional actor and a current member of Actors’ Equity Association having performed in over 100 productions throughout the east coast. He is a graduate of Bloomsburg University and resides in Phoenixville, PA with his wife and two sons.
