About John George

Since I was young, I knew that I wanted to work in the engineering field. Growing up with a father who works as a computer and network engineer, I have always been around and been engaged in the engineering field.Since attending Northern Illinois University (NIU), I have found a passion for mechatronics, control systems, robotics, and automation research and design, and their connections and integration into personal, health, biomedical, aerospace, and manufacturing applications. I have worked passionately to gain a very full background in systems design from the controls, to the power and circuitry, to the cooling systems and heat transfer mechanics, to the manufacturing.Since graduating from NIU, I have obtained my Master of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University and have had the opportunity to work in the automotive electronics field and manufacturing industry within the area of digital manufacturing technologies. Understanding how data drives technological progress has become of heightened importance to me and drives my daily progress.

   Currently designing and implementing a site-wide SCADA and IIoT system to monitor manufacturing data points, automatically document key MOPs, gather historical process data for analysis, and provide a digital upgrade to internal manufacturing processes and procedures.• Corrected and updated internal documentation on a variety of process machine electronics and building electronics and control systems. Additionally rewired and reprogrammed a variety of process machine electronics and building electronics systems and control systems for improved cleanliness, readability, and interoperability.• Troubleshot and repaired a variety of electronic and control system issues on both production machinery and building systems.• Implemented IQ, OQ, and PQ procedures on new production equipment.
