After joining the Board as a volunteer trustee in 2019, I was appointed Chairperson in 2021. The Vitiligo Society is a London based charity established in 1985. Run by a small group of passionate volunteers, the charity\'s main aim is to support people with the skin condition, vitiligo, which causes patches of the skin to depigment and turn white. Vitiligo affects 1-2% of the world\'s population and can also have detrimental psychological effects on people\'s lives.
