ABOUT JOHN CURTIS

Public and private company finance executive with marketplace, delivery, mobile, eCommerce/retail, and SaaS experience. John has served as the Chief Financial Officer for PE and VC backed companies, completed global acquisitions and co-founded a broadband service provider. He is currently the CFO at retailer Pet Food Express. Prior to that, he was CFO at SaaS, eCommerce and logistics companies such as Cargomatic and delivery innovator Eaze Technologies. As CFO, John managed the sale of PGC, a multi-airport retailer, to HMS Host in 2019, and earlier held the position of VP of Finance at Mobileum where he focused on raising financing and acquisitions to expand the company globally. Prior to joining Mobileum, John was the co-founder of Stelera Wireless, a regional wireless broadband service provider where the team took the business from concept and fundraising to spectrum acquisition, network build and sales growth. In 2006, John led the transaction process, modeling and due diligence for the group of Oklahoma business leaders who acquired the Seattle SuperSonics NBA franchise - now the Oklahoma City Thunder.Before Stelera, John helped Syniverse Technologies (NYSE: SVR) expand through acquisitions from a private equity backed LBO from Verizon to a global publicly traded company. In addition to leading several cross-border acquisitions, he had a significant role in planning and executing Syniverse\'s IPO in 2005. John began his career in wireless technology as an investment banker at CIBC World Markets in NYC. Prior to business school, he worked in public policy on Capitol Hill. John holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business and a BA in History from the University of Texas at Austin.
