1. Group Leader - Advanced Space Development

   Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory

   I manage a team of 7 highly-skilled engineers within LLNL\'s Space Program and Security Program My team is composed of early/mid career mechanical engineers with BS, MS and PhD educational backgrounds. My responsibilites in this role include- Career development and Mentorship: I meet with my team members on a monthly basis to discuss career goals and opportunities, paths to achieving those goals, training and coursework, technical and personnel issues they need support with- Performance reviews: I oversee my team\'s yearly performance appraissal process. This includes gathering feedback from collegues, providing both positive and constructive feedback, goal-setting, promotions and salary management- Recruitment and Hiring: I act as one of the hiring managers within LLNL\'s Space Program. This involves conference recruiting, candidate selection, virtual and in-person interviewing, hiring and onboarding of new team members.
