About John Chaisson

In my privacy consultant role, I support medium and large company privacy needs, with a specific focus on Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning systems, health data and digital advertising / ad tech. Based on my seven years-plus expertise, we perform privacy gap reviews, privacy issue mitigation and a list of other services.Previously, I served as the Global Head of Privacy for Prime Video at Amazon, where I solved Amazon scale problems and enabled business leaders to make risk-informed decisions and uphold customer trust. I developed and launched Prime Video\'s privacy program, which covered the $50B annual business that had highly complex, multi-jurisdictional, petabyte-scale dataflows. In this role, I performed audits on, and developed a bespoke ML / AI privacy review mechanism for 50+ systems. On a daily basis, I led the privacy business intelligence, cookie consent, video ads, child privacy, and Digital Markets Act workstreams, collaborating with various stakeholders across Amazon. I leveraged strong cross-functional communication to provide guidance and solutions for Prime Video, Amazon Studios, MGM and internal partner teams (such as advertising).

   Responsible to architect and launch an end-to-end privacy program for Samsung\'s CTV Advertising, TVPlus (FAST programming), and other businesses such as Frame and our Gaming Hub. My team has a global privacy role Advertising systems development and a US role for local deployment. Our responsibility is to support business teams ability to meet privacy requirements. We do this through multiple channels; privacy training, privacy by design, Privacy Impact Assessments, data governance and annual reviews.The role sits between legal and business teams and must take inputs from local privacy counsel, as well and EU and HQ legal and privacy teams. This is an exciting opportunity to bring my experience to bear on a complex, multi-org data flow environment.
