ABOUT JOHN CALHOUN
John has worked in television and film production and post for over 30 years.John is currently Senior Editor for a feature film post production company. He is the colorist and is tasked with some VFX. He is also a camera operator and graphic designer.Though he has used several edit systems including Avid, Final Cut Pro and Premiere, John has edited on DaVinci Resolve since 2014. He started editing in 1991 and has worked as a professional editor since 1998. In 2001, he assisted in helping a local Public Access cooking show shoot a promo video; that video was presented to BET and was agreed to a contract for a six show pilot of The Midnight Gourmet, which aired in 20••••02. Later in 2002 he was hired to take over the shooting and editing of a local television show called \'The Zone\'. In 2004, he was tasked with a complete redesign of the look and feel of the program. This redesign encompassed logo redesign, directing/shooting/editing a new open and designing a fresh graphics package.Though it began locally,\'The Zone\' was soon airing on 100 stations and in numerous countries via satellite and received the national award for \'Best Music Video Television Program of 2008\' by the NRB.
