I love building and leading diverse, passionate teams to improve processes create efficiencies with technology. I enjoy the challenge of implementing change using technology to realize measurable results. I love mentoring people and supporting teams to grow personally and professionally.Between 2010 and 2022, I worked as the Sr. IT Director for a pharma / medical device company (Angiotech 2010–2014) and, more recently, at a Biotech Research instrumentation company (Nanostring 2018–2022). During that time, both companies experienced company-wide transformations requiring change-agent IT teams to facilitate change, new technologies: reorganizations and divestitures, high employee growth, and new facilities.Between 1997 and 2010 (and 2015 - 18) I held senior positions for ERP software and IT system integration consulting organizations (Director/Manager). I was directly responsible for estimating and selling system integration services and business process change. I directly managed several ERP implementation engagements for companies of various sizes and industries (examples: discrete and ETO Manufacturing, Lifesciences, Aerospace and Defense)What I’m good at (experience: Sr. IT Director and Consulting Dir / Manager):• Building, recruiting, and managing diverse professional teams as collaborative change agents for large organizations• Successfully leading an IT department through significant organizational change (e.g. org transition and rapid growth) by creating new IT processes and implementing new technologies and applications to scale and improve work-flow and efficiency• Introducing change outside of IT across a company, including collaborative technologies, CRM, ERP and improvements to existing applications and technologies• Estimating and selling the value of Consulting engagement projects (ERP software implementation)• Managing and championing complex, large-scale ERP system and business process changes in collaboration with consulting and customer teams.My family lives in Seattle and Lopez Island where we own a small farm (Instagram @lopezvillagefarm) and have sold produce at our local farmer’s Market for the past three years. I love unique travel, hiking, boating and contributing to community-driven organizations and efforts. I’m an active Board member for the Lopez Island Farmer’s Market and a Seattle neighborhood organization. I’ve studied and worked in China at various points in my career.
