ABOUT JOHN BERGERON

For the past three decades, my career has involved leading mission-critical global programs in partnership with military forces, government contractors, federal agencies and Fortune 100 companies, helping to strengthen our nation’s defense posture. The scope of my influence has extended across all phases of product development, launch and support for complex, high-stake initiatives involving high volume radar element production, ballistic missile defense, undersea systems, missile production and power generation. After the merger of UTC and Raytheon Companies in 2020, I held ownership of a $900MM annual operating plan for DoD franchise programs at the newly formed Raytheon Technologies. My team and I captured an additional $350MM in new weapon systems bookings with the US Navy and resolved historically troubled programs to yield over $100MM in cost and risk reduction for the division. Prior to that, I was tasked with delivering the highest quality products and services for the $6.2B integrated defense systems (IDS) business across 31 locations worldwide. Leading the quality team of 500 quality professionals, our division reduced government corrective action requests by 75% and shrank the number of government audits by 85%.My tenure with Raytheon began in 2006, directing a team of 700 engineers supplying end-to-end support for all product lines, including DoD command and control systems, shipboard self-defense applications and ballistic missile radars. This team grew labor contracts over 80% in three years. I also led Six Sigma continuous improvement delivered to 61K employees worldwide, achieving $500MM business impact in 2014.Since leaving Raytheon Technologies in early 2022, I accepted a contract with another major government contractor in the aerospace and defense industries and provide hands-on leadership for complex, high-stake initiatives with the focus on P&L, process and product optimization, lean six sigma continuous improvement and quality control. Working closely with the C-suite, I have been tasked with breaking down silos and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and product quality. Throughout my career, I’ve assisted customers in leveraging technology and process excellence to ensure our nation’s military readiness. I am known for driving overall improvements in program performance, doing my best to lead with transparency and authenticity. Each member of my team knows they are valued and holds themselves accountable to achieving business goals—my job is simply to pave the way.
