I protect organizations from cybercrime with good cybersecurity and improve their management of information assets. I investigate cybercrime after it happens - but prefer to prevent the problem with good security (and compliance). I am a lawyer, consultant, speaker, and author of two books on cybercrime and cybersecurity (and many articles). I teach at a law school, graduate school, undergraduate school, and online. I speak and I help news professionals understand the issues of the day. Before entering private practice, I served in government as a prosecutor, state trooper and reserve military officer.
