About Johnathan Olvera

My career has been shaped by people-focused work across customer service, operations, and talent acquisition, with one constant throughout: I genuinely enjoy helping others. That started during college, when I worked in campus recreation and found real fulfillment in supporting students as they balanced work, school, and life. That experience led to a full-time role on campus, followed by opportunities in public service with the city and later in tech, where I provided frontline support to a large customer base. Each step strengthened my ability to listen closely, solve problems thoughtfully, and create positive experiences for the people I serve. In 2021, I transitioned into talent acquisition, and it quickly felt like the right fit. Since then, I’ve grown to appreciate just how much impact a thoughtful, human-centered hiring process can have. I care deeply about creating strong experiences for both candidates and hiring teams, and I aim to build genuine relationships rooted in empathy, trust, and active listening. My goal is to understand what drives people, where they want to go, and how I can help connect them with opportunities that truly align. At the heart of my work is a simple belief: recruiting is about more than filling roles. It’s about helping people move forward in meaningful ways while partnering closely with teams to build thoughtfully and effectively. Outside of work: I spend a lot of time with family and friends, including the furry members of the household who definitely keep life interesting. I’m a loyal Minnesota Vikings fan, which has taught me plenty about resilience. I enjoy being outdoors and staying active. 🧋 I’m always on the lookout for a great boba or matcha spot. I stand by pineapple on pizza. 🤝 Volunteering and giving back to the community are important to me and help keep me grounded. I enjoy connecting with people who appreciate meaningful conversations about careers, sports, community, and good food.
