ABOUT JOHN WILSON
As Programming & Communications Manager at the National Media Awards Foundation, I support the delivery of the National Magazine Awards and Digital Publishing Awards through communications planning, jury coordination, website and content management, and backstage logistics support. I also assist with event programming and serve as the main point of contact for judges, volunteers and interns.I also provide editing and content support for Young W\'s arts & letters directory, collaborating with their team to review and refine entries and ensure alignment with content guidelines.Since 2024, I\'ve collaborated with the programming team at The Word On The Street Festival as a stage manager, most recently managing the Ontario Creates Vibrant Voices Stage. These roles have been meaningful steps toward my long-term goal of working more closely with cultural and literary organizations in program management and live event spaces. WOTS Artistic Director Sienna Tristen praised my attentiveness, professionalism, and optimism, noting that their stage is \"in good hands\" under my management.In addition, I\'m involved in administering electoral events at all levels of government, serving in non-partisan roles as a supervisor, officer, and clerk. I\'m always interested in opportunities that support civic engagement. Elections are my Olympics.
