ABOUT JOHN WILLIAMS

I am a retired Senior Training Deputy with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. I have worked as a law enforcement officer for over 25 years. My assignments have included tours with the Department\'s Gang Unit and various Patrol Assignments. I have worked as a training instructor for the Los Angeles County Sheriff\'s Department for over 20 years. I was responsible for the development of our Department\'s online computer based training program and digital training library. I have produced over 200 training presentations and 600 training videos for our Department and outside agencies on a very diverse range of topics. I have two Bachelor of Science Degrees from UCLA and CSULB in the fields of Geography and Criminal Justice. I also has a reserve commission as a full Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy. I have lectured coast to coast to over two dozen law enforcement agencies and numerous nationwide Gang Investigator Associations as well as the U.S. Military, Department of Homeland Security, and the FBI National Academy on the topic of Gang Tattoos, Covert Gang Communications, and other law enforcement topics.I am available to present for your agency or association for a nominal charge.
