World-wide deployments as Navigator (Operator) since 1989. I am experienced w/ the following operational modes: 2D/3D OBC, 2D/3D OBN, and 2D/3D streamer, using INS\'s including Spectra, Gator, WinFrog, & TigerNav. By means of example, my duties on a typical 3D streamer operation are listed below:Position the in-sea equipment -Ensure positioning procedures and accuracy meet or exceed client specs-Exclude bad observations from network(s), monitor network quality during data acquisitionSteer vessel & equipment to achieve optimal seismic coverage-Maneuver vessel/streamers to maximize binning -Respond quickly to currents, obstacles, and changing streamer conditions-Avoid rapid movements in speed/direction to minimize streamer/network disruptionEnsure data is being recorded and monitored for quality-Monitor positioning systems including DGPS, RGPS, compass birds, and acoustics-Monitor additional systems including gun pressures, streamer depth, echo sounder(s)Coordinate and log activities-Maintain ongoing daily log of all ship’s activities-Coordinate work-boat sorties and multi-vessel operations-Update navigation system database(s) to display obstacles, moorings, projected routes, etc. Generate end of line reports for navigation processing-Produce end-of-line reports to meet client specs-Update prospect production logsParticipate in work-boat operations -Inspect tail buoys/replace components if required -Replace acoustics/birds & streamer modules/sections w/ extreme cautionParticipate in back-deck and helicopter operations when required-Deploy/retrieve streamers-Replace acoustics/ birds & streamer modules/sections -Assist with crane operations, ship\'s stores, and heli operationsInspect/maintain in-sea and on-board navigation equipment-Disassemble and inspect acoustics before redeployment-Ensure computers and on-vessel electronics are well secured and within environmental limits
