About John Vukich
As the founder and medical director of Summit Eye Care, I have been providing high-quality eye care services for over 32 years. My specialty is refractive surgery, which involves correcting vision problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, cataracts and presbyopia. I am passionate about helping patients achieve their best vision and quality of life.I\'m a Wisconsin native and completed my undergraduate degree at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. After being granted early admission to Emory Medical School, I graduated with highest honors. I completed my surgical residency in ophthalmology at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago.I am also an active educator, researcher, and innovator in the field of ophthalmology. I have taught and collaborated with eye surgeons worldwide, participated in numerous clinical trials, and presented to FDA panels for new technologies. I have published extensively and received multiple awards for my contributions. One of my proudest achievements is being a principal investigator for the implantable collamer lens (ICL), a revolutionary device that can correct a wide range of refractive errors. I am always looking for new ways to improve eye care and advance the profession.
