About John Vargo
When I got my first computer, I remember overwhelming excitement getting it all set up. After I hit the first of many roadblocks with a blank DOS prompt and little idea where to start, then spending hours solving blue screen crashes or missing libraries, I began to realize that problem solving is a core skill and interest. I continue to be committed to learning technology and building skills to tackle larger and more complex challenges. That instinct now drives the work I lead at RoviSys—building and guiding our Manufacturing Execution Systems and Digital Transformation practice. My team helps manufacturers across industries design, implement, and improve MES platforms including Critical Manufacturing, TrakSYS, Parsec, Apprentice, Tulip, and Ignition…to name a few. I created an approach to capture and standardize our methodology called DxOps that my team and I have built out together to bring structure and repeatability to digital transformation engagements. We focus on practical outcomes: production visibility, quality enforcement, and operational consistency across sites.AI is changing how this work gets done. My team and I are focused on where it fits into manufacturing execution—not as a layer of hype, but as a tool that earns its place on a validated shop floor. Agent-assisted configuration, knowledge capture, decision support grounded in operational data. The goal is always the same—help operations teams make better decisions faster.Separately, I’m building Vective AI—an AI-powered framework for accelerating process development and structured problem solving. More on that soon.I pride myself in taking on challenging roles and have been fortunate to work with great people to build exceptional teams across geographical locations. I’ve led large teams through calm moments and difficult situations while maintaining positive team chemistry and morale. A strong team is key to delivering value to customers, and I’m proud to work at RoviSys where organizational culture is valued and promoted.Outside of work, I am a devoted husband and father. Nutrition and health optimization are areas I’m deeply interested in, and I enjoy most outdoor and exercise-related activities including running, boating, skiing and water sports.Feel free to connect if you want to give your operations teams the tools to make better decisions more quickly—my team may be able to help.
