I worked on AMD\'s open source ROCm stack with the rocSOLVER team, using C++ and GPU programming with HIP for GPU-accelerated linear algebra operations. Some of my work during this internship includes:o Completed the HIP Programming course to master the GPU Programming model enhanced by architecture-specific knowledge for AMD GPUs/HIP programming stack.o Optimized runtime performance of GPU kernels and C++ routines, using an iterative optimization approach guided by debugging and profiling tools such as GDB, Valgrind, and rocprof.o Implemented LAPACK routines LANGE and GECON to find the norm and condition number of a matrix.o Managed data center infrastructure and workstations, installing and removing pieces from server racks, ordering and replacing parts, and debugging OS issues/reflashing Linux to provide development platforms for dozens of developers.
