ABOUT JOHN TWOMEY

Hi, I’m a Learning Advisor - Operations for Citi in Jacksonville Florida. Previously I was a Corporate Fellow through the Hiring our Heroes program with Microsoft focusing on business partnerships and strategic communications. I worked on the Partner of the Year Awards team developing a copilot agent to help reduce common inquires and help employees navigate the SharePoint. Additionally, I spent the past few years shaping and strengthening security operations and policy strategy for the United States Air Force. I’ve had the privilege of contributing to the safety and readiness of more than personnel across 74 installations—something I take a lot of pride in.My work has included everything from refining key security policies to advising senior leaders on law enforcement and operational strategy. I’ve led in-depth program assessments, helped rewrite nine core security policies, and supported efforts that keep our teams mission-ready and protected.Leadership is at the heart of everything I do. I’ve led teams of over 200 personnel, rolled out improved entry control systems, and introduced dynamic training programs to sharpen our response capabilities. I believe in leading by example, staying adaptable, and creating a culture where people feel secure, supported, and empowered.I’m always looking for new ways to drive innovation in security and risk management, especially through collaboration and strategic planning. Whether it’s in the field or at the policy table, I’m passionate about building safer, smarter environments where teams can thrive.Outside of work, I’m a proud husband and father of three, with a dog who thinks he’s the fourth kid. I love coaching in my kids’ soccer league and staying active through running. Family, fitness, and community involvement help keep me grounded and motivated.
