   Structures Group Manager. Responsibilities include: Group Management: Manages Structures Department. Serves on Jacobs’ Technical Career Path Commitee and Project Execution Group. Participates in Jacobs’ National Bridge Practice Group meetings. Supervises PMs and structural engineers, mentors staff, fosters group development, evaluates staffing needs, performs staff evaluations, produces business plans, and facilitates work sharing among other Jacobs offices. Project Management: Serves as Contract Manager for several MDOT contracts, manages day-to-day project activities and budgets, serves as clients’ point of contact, writes proposals, conducts project review meetings, coordinates multi-disciplined design and permitting efforts, supervises subconsultants, approves invoices, and provides QA/QC on deliverables. Technical / Engineering: Serves as Structures Lead on transportation projects, provides technical guidance, proposes technical solutions, performs preliminary design of structures, performs value engineering and design reviews. Business Development: Identifies pursuits, performs middle-game marketing tasks (client meetings, research, etc.), attends strategic planning meetings, assembles teams, writes proposals, prepares and gives presentations, and performs proposal red-team reviews. I have been successful on 8 out the last 11 pursuits that I either led, authored the proposals, and/or presented to prospective clients.
