ABOUT JOHN TOMKINS
I started out fixing concrete and mixing buckets of coatings in 2006. A summer job to stick around in Calgary quickly grew into a career. I certainly didn\'t see it coming!I joined Gator in our first year, starting on the tools, moving to estimating and project management, and eventually acquired ownership in 2016. Since then, we\'ve grown to about 150 people across four offices and completed over projects.We maintain, restore, and replace critical infrastructure across Western Canada and the North: parkades, bridges, dams, treatment plants, industrial facilities, municipal, and commercial assets.We self-perform as many scopes as possible: concrete construction and placement, restoration, hydrodemolition, coatings, waterproofing, joints, and drainage: our crews, our equipment, our quality controls. We stand behind every project, no matter what.And we take care of our Team! Our Gators, our subs, our vendors and our clients. We\'re all on the same team, doing the best we can.Most weeks, I\'m somewhere on the QEII between Calgary and Edmonton, visiting site out at Joffre, or heading east to Winnipeg. When I get away, it\'s to Northern Saskatchewan, at the lake or on a golf course.
