The National Education Collaboration Trust (NECT) is the largest educational trust in South Africa. It brings together the resources of government, civil society and private sector business to address the challenges in the national education system.As a member of the senior management team, I have been responsible for the strategic design, implementation and management of national-scale education projects focusing on areas such as: early grade reading, maths, science, curriculum design, development and implementation, teacher professionalisation; school and district leadership, parent and community involvement and learner welfare. My project management activities have included strategic planning, business development, implementation planning and execution, budgeting, monitoring, evaluation, reporting, advocacy, marketing and human resource management.
