After surviving a sudden cardiac arrest, my wife and I realized that most people never receive proper CPR/AED training. When we asked why, we discovered that the courses that were currently available were targeted at medical professionals. They were slow, unengaging, outdated- in a word, boring. Together we founded Vital Functions, LLC, a CPR and first aid training company dedicated to spreading life-saving knowledge in a fun, engaging way. Through engaging, hands-on courses, we empower individuals and businesses to respond confidently in emergency situations. Leading this business has allowed me to combine teaching, entrepreneurship, and community impact, making a tangible difference in people’s lives while promoting health and safety.• Teach life-saving CPR and emergency response courses to groups of 10–100 people, blending serious subject matter with an approachable, engaging style• Create hands-on, interactive sessions that leave participants empowered and confident in their new skills• Grew a grassroots company into a trusted local resource for safety and wellness through word-of-mouth and community partnerships
