John Stamos

About John Stamos

Currently, I am the Lead Environment Artist at Airship Syndicate in Austin, TX. Previously, I worked at Certain Affinity as an environment artist where I was afforded the opportunity to work on several triple titles including Halo, Doom, and Call of Duty. This allowed me to become proficient in multiple proprietary game engines, as well as enhancing my skills as a hard surface/organic modeler and world builder. Additionally, while at Certain affinity, I was able to focus on many different facets of game development including terrain modeling, vista creation, and animation. I also worked at Cryptic Studios on the fantasy MMO NeverWinter Online as a prop modeler and world builder. While at Cryptic, I was tasked with world building an entire raid dungeon from block out to finish including lighting and optimization. I also worked hand in hand with designers and programmers to create and implement assets for scripted events and animations. As well as 3D modeling, I am also an experienced 2d concept artist and illustrator. My skills have been useful at previous companies when I needed reference quickly. I also worked for several years as a freelance editorial illustrator for such publications as Penguin Books, Forbes Magazine and The Village Voice.
