About John Sousa

John Sousa serves as a Senior Recruiter and Medical Officer at Lifeblood. John\'s professional experience includes serving as a physician and completing three years of General Surgery residency training at Stanford and Florida Atlantic University. He is passionate about scaling impact to patients around the world through supporting entrepreneurship in the life sciences, harnessing his depth and breadth of clinical experience as well as his business acumen and interpersonal skills. John received his Bachelor’s degree and High School Diploma, both with Honors, by the age of 17, completing eight years of schooling in three years and co-authoring a journal article in the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine. After a gap year working in clinical research, John went on to Medical School at the University of Florida, receiving his M.D. with Honors as the youngest graduate in the school\'s 60+ year history. After completing more than half of a General Surgery residency, John was recruited to Lifeblood in July 2023, where he has advised and built teams for the most cutting-edge MedTech companies globally. j•••@lifeblood.com
