I take pride in maintaining high levels of my core business beliefs.John Smith was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. A first generation plumber, he has worked in the field for over 16 years. John\'s passion for the trade has given him the drive to continually improve plumbing practices, all while working to change the image of the modern day plumber. John Smith was recognized as the 2011 Contractor of the Year by CONTRACTOR magazine and his business, R2K Plumbing, has been named “Best of Tempe” for two years running. Winner of the United States GreenPlumber of the Year Award for two years in a row (2010 & 2011) and the Southwest Region Green Plumber of the Year Award in 2013, John strives to educate not only the public but also his fellow service providers on how to take steps to start saving water and other natural resources. John’s book, Plunging Into Green- One Plumber’s Journey to Becoming a Water Hugger, tells the story of his extraordinary journey to becoming a green plumber, including how his business and personal outlook changed along the way. His weekly radio program, “The Arizona Green Plumber Show,” is downloaded by thousands of listeners each month and covers topics ranging from green landscaping to sustainable wineries. John Smith also offers on-site consulting and educational seminars to major corporations as well as the everyday service contractor. Whether it’s an audience of one or one thousand, John’s goal is to help inspire others to recognize and embrace the benefits of going green.
