Upon Graduation from college I went to Washington DC to work for HOK Architecture doing large institutional work. I also married my wife Lina. Lina and I then headed west to for graduate school in the bay area. While in graduate school we worked with Mark Mack, and Christopher Alexander as interns. Also during this time we won a design competition and were invited over to Japan for a summer internship, which then was extended in to a job offer upon graduation. While in Japan we worked on a variety of projects (office buildings, embassy, and club houses) in Japan, southeast asia and Europe. We return home to North Carolina in 1993 with our first child. I went to work with Cline Davis Architecture. Then in 1997 we started our architectural and construction company 2SL Design Build. We have grown the company to roughly 11 people currently. We do medical / professional offices, residential, and religious projects.
