About Johnny S.
I\'m a community-based planner, researcher, and organizer whose work focuses on the solidarity economy, housing justice, and just transition strategies. As a graduate planning student I built on my background in community organizing and policy advocacy by developing technical skills related to the analysis of spatial, quantitative, and qualitative data. In my practice I use popular education as a tool for building power and strengthening relationships between people. By cultivating authentic relationships with community-based organizations and grassroots coalitions, I hope to apply my skills to grassroots campaigns for justice and shared liberation.
