ABOUT JOHN SCOTT

I\'m delighted to now be working as part of the Pharmaron family, as an Associate Director, Strategic Partnerships, where I support Pharmaron\'s Discovery, Preclinical and CMC business, working to build strong relationships with clients across the UK and Europe.I have more than 20 years’ experience Medicinal & Synthetic Chemist in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, leading teams that discovered two clinical candidates. My previous role within a Biotech, was leading a small group that supported Recursion\'s state-of-the-art automated synthesis platform at Milton Park. Additional responsibilities included supporting outsourced chemistry from both a technical and managerial standpoint. Working alongside our CRO partners, I aided significant improvement in our cycle times for target molecules. In my previous role in medicinal chemistry at a CRO, I have extensive experience in supporting hit finding/binder ID utilising a variety of screening techniques. I also have a number of year\'s experience in the field of targeted protein degradation, identify binders and developing bifunctional degraders.
