I am a Senior Healthcare Planner at IKM working to provide functionally efficient, code compliant spaces that create a superior experience for patient, family and staff. I am passionate about how the physical environment can positively impact the healing process and our responsibilities as Architects to embrace our role in creating those places. As a member of the American College of Healthcare Architects, a group of certified healthcare architects, I am actively engaged with clients developing design solutions for complex medical environments across the range of acute and ambulatory settings. I help facilitate creating achievable and resilient facility master plans along with intricate phasing for continuous operation of existing spaces during construction periods.I have spoken at numerous conferences and seminars regarding the current state of healthcare design. I have been published in trade magazines including Medical Design and Construction, Breaking Ground, Western Pennsylvania Hospital News, Healthcare Building Ideas, Healthcare Design, Becker’s Orthopedic and Spine Review and West Virginia Executive, among others.
