My position is responsible for conducting and analysis of the engineering studies required for traffic signal installations, speed limit, crash reduction, and highway safety improvements on the Lake County highway system. The position also entails conducting traffic signing reviews, determining new sign installation as well as pavement marking review and installation. Additional duties of this postion are acting as the Emergency Manager of the Traffic Engineering/Traffic Management Center during extended emergency road closures, as well as during County, State or Federal proclaimed emergencies or disasters. Currently, I am an instructor for the Illinois Dept. of Transportation\'s Technology Transfer Section, teaching Sign Retroreflectivity and I am a certified Traffic Incident Management and Flagger Instructor for the Lake County Divison of Transportation.
