Essential Utilities is one of the largest publicly traded water, wastewater, and natural gas providers in the U.S, serving approximately 5 million people across 9 states under the Aqua and Peoples brand.Company Website: Functions Include- Lead employee life cycle and HR activities for over 550 employees in five states (Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Texas, and Kentucky)- Maintain knowledge of labor/union issues and best practices in order to promote positive labor relations- Negotiate contracts with union employees and responsible for eleven different bargaining units- Provide employee and labor relations support, counseling employees and managers on ways to improve performance and collaboration- Conduct investigations in response to employee complaints- Participate in the execution of Labor Relations strategies and the resolution of Labor Relations issues- Partner with the business leaders to align staff to business objectives; structure and/or support the development of programs and/or processes to meet those needs- Partner with leadership to develop succession plans- Direct interaction and communication with managers and employees regarding policies and procedures- Work collaboratively with subject matter experts in Labor Relations, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting and other disciplines to fulfill the company’s mission to create a workplace where talented people want to come, stay and thrive, by developing solutions, programs and policies- Assist in the integration of diversity and inclusion strategies by working with the Talent Acquisition team, management and leadership to create and empower a diverse culture. Promote diversity and inclusion awareness in hiring practices, performance management, and training- Track and analyze turnover data and address retention trends and engagement opportunities. Deliver solutions to retention and manage engagement opportunities.
