About John Ryabik

I am a strategist, change leader, trusted advisor, and people developer. My 20+ years of professional experience, most with consulting firms, has focused on strengthening leadership and engagement, promoting efficient and effective operations, and driving change and results. I have worked with federal, state and local government, private sector and non-profit organizations; led teams of two to 25 members; managed budgets of $10K to $9 million; and worked effectively with all levels of organization personnel, administrative to executive. In addition, I have successfully managed a high-volume, specialty retail store, and served in the U.S. Army performing toxicology and analytical chemistry studies at an Army research institute. Currently, I lead the corporate leadership development function for the Federal Aviation Administration. My passion - my personal mission - is to help people and organization\'s flourish. I believe mutual success requires the right talent fit, a relationship of allies, shared goals and values, hard-thought choices about strategy, clear authentic leadership, and a respectful supportive environment that bolsters teams and unleashes everyone\'s potential. I am a systems thinker who loves to learn and be challenged, and who communicates dynamically and directly with care. I am also an avid reader who strives to stay current on industry/government leading practices and apply them in my work where it makes sense. I have earned M.B.A. and B.S. degrees as well as completed training or certification in leadership, leadership coaching, strengths coaching, organization development, MBTI, appreciative inquiry, facilitation, and technical writing. Career aspirations include roles like Chief Culture Officer, Organization Effectiveness Director, and Director of Talent, Learning and Innovation.
