About John Rothschild
As the National Director of Newmark\'s Receivership / Special Assets Group, John Rothschild is responsible for the oversight and leadership of receivership assignments nationwide. With more than 40 years experience in finance and fifteen years as a court appointed receiver, Mr. Rothschild has partnered with lenders, servicers and owners to provide receivership services. Mr. Rothschild serves as a resource and subject matter expert to Newmark\'s teams nationally and ensures the integration of all Newmark service lines on receivership assignments. Prior to joining Newmark, Mr. Rothschild directed Continental Realty\'s Receivership / Special Assets Group in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, he served as Receiver and was instrumental in proving an one-stop shop approach by coordinating all services, including property management, project management, leasing and disposition services. Mr. Rothschild began his career in financial services, where he represented clients in all aspects of corporate and real estate lending, bond financing, and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Rothschild regularly speaks about receiverships at meetings held by various Bar Associations, NAIOP, financial institutions, and law firms. Mr. Rothschild graduated from the University of Virginia and holds an inactive Series 63 and 7 Securities license.
