Railpen is the Railways pension and investment scheme with £32bn assets under management and 350k+ members and 750+ employees – it is a highly regulated environment covered by the Financial conduct authority (FCA) and the Pensions Regulation authority (TPA). As a member of the Executive, Enterprise risk, and Change and Transformation committees as well as the chair of the AIcouncil, I am responsible for IT security, ISO 27001, BCP/DR, operational resilience, IT infrastructure, Engineering, Investments and fiduciary technology platforms, Pension technology platforms including TCS BaNCs, Workday ERP, service delivery, service management, hardware and software asset management, Enterprise architecture and data governance framework and leading AI@Railpen leading a 3 year transformation program to capitalise on AI and drive cross organisational alignment such as our Citizen developer program.I am responsible for technology strategy working very closely with the business strategy team and have a team of technical project managers, Business analysts and consultants who work very closely with Change / transformation teams and line of business leads to achieve the appropriate outcomes for Railpen and its members.I am also responsible for Railpen Estates – with two locations, one in the City in Devonshire square and our Grade II listed building which I am currently responsible for a major renovation of the building.
