I set up My Finance Department, an accountancy for small businesses, to help owners make smarter financial decisions — whether that’s understanding their numbers, planning for growth, or staying on the right side of HMRC.After 25 years in retail banking — including 10 years in senior leadership roles across P&L, product, risk and strategy — I wanted to bring that level of commercial thinking to smaller businesses. I’ve worked across everything from mortgages to savings, built customer-centric propositions, and led major regulatory change like Consumer Duty. That gives me a sharp eye for both compliance and commercial performance.Now, I support growing businesses with bookkeeping, tax, accounts and financial modelling — but also help them think bigger, through tools like profit growth plans, scenario forecasting, and pricing strategy.
