About John R. Kleven

I\'m an Associate Dean for the Business, Arts, and Sciences Division. My main objective in this position is to be an advocate for instructors and students at CVTC. This position allows me to build, and maintain relationships with all who are involved with helping students. Previously, I was an instructor in the Business Division at CVTC. I love helping people learn more about marketing and more about themselves. My passion is teaching new skills and preparing others for what they need to be successful in life and the workplace. I\'ve had successful work experience in Real Estate, Sales, Management, Education Leadership, and as an Entrepreneur. Before and after work, and on the weekends you\'ll find me as a gentleman farmer on a small 10 acre half wooded parcel that has been in my family for over 70 years. I care about the environment, what my family and I eat, and what I\'ve been entrusted with. I love to perform and listen to music, the guitar being my main instrument. At our house, there is a concert a few times a week, and we switch up instruments, and make up songs. Family bands are always the best! I like to help others succeed in their dreams, talk about marketing strategy, brainstorm new and creative ideas, and connect local resources to keep our local economy strong.
