ABOUT JOHN R. HOWLEY
I spend most of my professional time and energy as an actor, predominately in TV & Film. For information about my performance career, you can check out my website But, this is LinkedIn, not Actors Access, so, for all intensive purposes on this platform.I\'m a theatre administrator, Gaeilgeoir, and graduate of Columbia University’s B.A. Drama & Theatre Arts program. My experience as a performer enables my success as House Manger at the Irish Arts Center, where I enlist my theatre-kid people skills to be an effective customer service representative and supervisor to a team of 12+ ushers. When not on screen, on stage, or front-of-house, I serve as the bunaitheoir (founder) and uachtarán (president) of GAELTACHT NYC. I founded GAELTACHT NYC in 2023 while I was learning Irish Gaelic, a language that I now speak proficiently. GAELTACHT NYC meets on a bi-weekly basis at various Irish pubs, cultural centers, and linguistic organizations. At these events, my organization hosts space for Gaeilgeoirí (Irish speakers) to socialize in Irish, a rare opportunity. As the president of this group, which has 2500+ Instagram followers and has been profiled by three newspapers, I most enjoy chatting in Irish with the 500+ group members.
