About John Pakutka
For the last 27 years, John has led The Crescent Group, his health management and policy consulting firm. Clients include digital health companies, healthcare systems, investment firms, Fortune 500 companies, Global 100 law firms and the United States Department of Justice. Earlier in his career, John completed stints at Exxon, the United States GAO, Yale, and APM/Computer Sciences Corporation. He has served on numerous public and non-profit boards, most recently the Connecticut Healthcare Affordability Advisory Committee. John serves as a Knight of Columbus, reads grant applications for The Donaghue Foundation and wrote (with Ted Marmor and Jerry Mashaw) Social Insurance: America’s Neglected Heritage and Contested Future. Educated at Cornell and Yale, John led in 2014 the 1-credit reading group “Innovation in Health and Healthcare“ at the Yale Law School.(Born into the University of Notre Dame family, John serves as President of the ND Club of New Haven.)
