John is currently the CEO of Blaze Pizza, the nation’s leading fast-casual pizza franchise concept with more than 250 restaurants across 30+ states and three countries. He was most recently the Chief Operating Officer of Scooter\'s Coffee, a rapidly-growing drive-thru specialty beverage brand with nearly 900 stores in 32 states. Rounding out his experience as a Franchisor, a Franchisee, and a Supplier in the QSR space, he previously served as President of the Americas for Acrelec, a global technology company focused on reinventing the customer experience for restaurant and retail brands. Prior to that, he was the President and CEO of Subway in Russia where he was responsible for executing his strategic vision on behalf of the private equity owners of the master franchise, its 650 restaurants and nearly 300 franchisees.During his successful career as an executive with McDonald’s Corporation, John served in 19 different roles giving him a diverse range of experience working with and leading teams from Finance to Marketing to Supply Chain. Such experience culminated in John’s role as Vice President of Restaurant Execution where he was responsible for bringing McDonald’s strategic plan to life in all 13,700 U.S. restaurants. It was in this role that John effectively tapped two of his unique gifts: clearly articulating corporate strategy as tactics and orchestrating multiple, moving parts of the organization into executing the strategic plan to achieve superior results. Along the way, John has an inimitable ability to transfer his passion for success to those he leads no matter their level within the organizational hierarchy.John went on to expand his talents at a global level as the Chief of Staff for the President and COO of McDonald’s Corporation where he ensured that the President/COO was equipped for the successful execution of his role as the functional leader of the company.During John’s tenure at McDonald’s, he learned that his abilities to articulate vision, orchestrate resources to achieve high levels of execution and results, and transfer his passion to those he leads were not only transferable across Brands in the same sector but across industries as well.In 2010, John put those skills to use when he founded Owen & Associates, LLC, an executive consulting firm specializing in institutionalizing his proven business principles within companies to better execute their business plans.
