   Business Driver: The Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) provides essential coordination, branding, analytics and nationwide operational processes to the 33 independent Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans. BCBSA also manages the Federal Employee Program (FEP) insurance plan that provides healthcare benefits and services to over 5 million federal employees, retirees, and their families.Solution Architecture: As a Technical Solutions Director, I am responsible for the definition, design, development, quality assurance and release of analytics solutions related to the Federal Employee Program (FEP) line of business. These solutions are intended to support ad hoc analysis required by internal BCBSA/FEP teams as well as Blues plan users. My responsibilities are focused on the management of ongoing operations as well as delivery of projects/enhancements related to the in-house ad hoc analytics platform (known as FIRE). My primary role is to lead business (end users, business analysts) and technical teams (system architects, developers, QA teams) through the SDLC. I am charged with coordinating resources, defining project plans/scheduled, leading team meetings and managing releases/deployments. I also perform a product management function for FIRE by managing the backlog including representing user needs, defining current and future state business processes, monitoring the market. developing competitive analyses, defining success metrics and aligning stakeholders.
